The New England Chapter, which represents alumni from all six New England states, currently conducts two meetings each year. One meeting has a business format at a restaurant with a coctail hour, dinner and a speaker from the maritime field. The second get-together is strictly social, with guests invited, at a popular attraction in a central area in New England. Recent meetings have been held jointly with the Eastern Connecticut Chapter.

Tido Holtkamp was an 18 year old cadet in the German Navy when he served for 6 months on the Horst Wessel, now the U.S. Coast Guard training ship Eagle.  He is author of the book “A Perfect Lady” which recounts the ship’s history and will be the basis for tonight’s very interesting presentation.
