Welcome to the 2003 Admirals Cadet Scholarship Dinner Dance Silent & Online Auction to benefit Maritime's Waterfront and the Cadet Scholarship Program.
Proceeds from the Dinner Dance will increase scholarship opportunities for the promising young men and women who desire to matriculate at Maritime.
Students, alumni, and friends of the College can assist in the success of this most important event by bidding on some great items. The Online Auction concludes with the Dinner Dance on the evening of May 16, 2003.

Procedural Guidelines
1.) Online auction items will be displayed beginning Thursday, May 1, 2003. The auction is open to alumni and friends of Maritime College as well as the general public.
2.) All auction items will be displayed with a photograph, when possible, and complete description.
3.) Bids must be placed in U.S. dollars and must meet or exceed the item's stated minimum bid or the last posted high bid. Bid amounts must be in whole dollars only, and must comply with the item's stated minimum bid increment (raise).
4.) Bidding on an item represents a binding obligation to purchase that item if you are determined to be the high bidder.
5.) Bidding on all online items will conclude on Friday, May 16, 2003. No bids placed after this day will be accepted.
Payment Guidelines
1.) All winning bidders will be contacted by a College representative within 10 days of the close of the online auction. All payments must be made in U.S. dollars and can be made in the following ways: check (made payable to "Maritime College"), or credit card (MasterCard, Visa).
2.) Shipping fees will be calculated after the auction ends and will be added to your final bid price. All winning bidders will be notified of the total cost of their item(s), including shipping and handling. Shipping cost can be eliminated if the bidder wishes to pick up the item in person.
3.) All items must be paid within two weeks of notification of the winning bid. Failure to pay within the given time frame will result in the forfeiture of the winning bidder's right to the item. In the event of this circumstance, the item will be offered to the next highest bidder.
4.) Values listed on the web site are good faith estimates and may not reflect the "fair market values" in all instances. Please consult your professional tax advisor concerning the deductibility of your purchase.
User Agreement between you and Maritime College
THE FOLLOWING IS THE USER AGREEMENT AS PRESENTED BY MARITIME COLLEGE. YOU MUST AGREE TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS BEFORE YOU WILL BE ABLE TO BID ON ITEMS. IF YOU DO NOT ACCEPT THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, PLEASE DO NOT REGISTER. ONCE YOU CLICK "I ACCEPT" BELOW, YOU AGREE TO THE STATED TERMS OF THE USER AGREEMENT WHICH FOLLOWS.
Article 1: This auction site is only available to people who are legally able to form binding contracts. People who are under the age of 18 are not eligible for participation.
Article 2: Bidders acknowledge the possibility of errors in bidding over the Internet and through the use of computers. Bidders also acknowledge that neither Maritime College, nor any of its representatives, will be held responsible for failing to record bids, for errors relating to the execution of bids, or for failure in the Internet or the computer systems used in the bidding process.
Article 3: As a bidder, you acknowledge that placing a bid is a binding contract between you and Maritime College. At the close of the auction, if you are determined to be the highest bidder on an item, you will be obligated to purchase the item as the said price you indicated on your bid.
Article 4: As a bidder, you are responsible for paying all applicable taxes and being in compliance with all applicable laws, statutes, ordinances and restrictions.
Article 5: Highest bidders on each item are responsible for picking up their item(s) or for charges incurred in shipping and handling.
Article 6: Members of the Maritime College family, including students, faculty, staff and administration are eligible to bid on online auction items.
Article 7: All sales are final. There are no refunds or exchanges.
Article 8: By participating in the online auction, the bidder acknowledges that he or she has read this agreement and all procedural and payment guidelines. The bidder agrees to adhere to all stated regulations throughout the auction. Failure to do so will result in the disqualification of any bid. No exceptions will be made.
Article 9: Of the funds raised by the Online/Silent Auction, 20 percent will support scholarship opportunities and 80 percent will support the College's Waterfront.
