Dear FSMAA Member,
The Fort Schuyler Maritime Alumni Association
(FSMAA) cordially invites you to attend its Twentieth Anniversary Golf Classic
on Monday, June 9th 2008, at the Nassau, Brookville, and Sands
Point Country Clubs on Long Island. The Golf Committee welcomes you to be part
of this grand tradition; join Maritime College alumni and their guests for an
exciting day of golf and camaraderie.
We are pleased to honor our first ever golf classic
award recipient Joseph Shiffert ‘45. Joe, a loyal member of FSMAA and
continuing supporter and participant of all FSMAA golf Classics has helped make
this classic what it is today.
The day will begin with registration at the respective
clubs; included are a golf starter package, full breakfast, lunch on the
course, great prizes and all those other amenities which make this event one
you don’t want to miss! If you are not a golfer, be sure to make a reservation
to join us for cocktails and dinner. This is an excellent opportunity to
network.
So come and enjoy an exciting day of golf and camaraderie.

PLEASE REVIEW:
Dinner tickets: available by reservation only. Golfers may
not switch off dinner tickets.
Putting contest: all golfers will filter through the
putting contest on their way through the links (complete information will be in
the pairing program on the day of the event). Winner will split the pot with
the Alumni Association.
Golf prizes will be awarded for low net, low gross, longest
drive, closest to pin. Hole - in - one prize will be a Cadillac Sedan Deville or Mustang Convertible for every ace on designated holes.
You will receive confirmation of your reservation, golf
course designation and directions by June 4, 2008 via email (or mail / by
request only). Please designate your club preference. The committee will
make every effort to honor your preference after payment is made in full and on
a first-come, first-served basis. The success of the Golf Classic
depends on your sponsorships!
The Internal Revenue Service
has determined Fort Schuyler Maritime Alumni Association, Inc. to be exempt
from Federal income tax as an organization described in Section 501 (c) (3) of
the Internal Revenue Code and a public charity under Code Section 509 (a) (1)
and Section 170(b)(1)(A)(vi). FSMAA solicits contributions solely from its
membership. Proceeds from this event will be used towards the support and
development of your alumni association and its programs. Thank you for your
