To the Directors of the FSMAA and donors to its SST scholarship award,

 

For awarding all of the students who won this scholarship, I appreciate your generosity, but for being selected as one of them I thank you deeply and personally. Without this scholarship I may not have been able to go on this past summer cruise. All three of my brothers are attending college at the same time and one of them went out on summer sea term as well. Without this money, my parents and I would have struggled to work that out. Thank you. But this isn't a scholarship just for people who need the money, and I understand that and continue to put forward a great effort in maintaining my grades to deserve this gift from you. I can't thank you enough, because there is nothing else I can do in response to your kindness. I appreciate the scholarship greatly and look forward to next year�s cruise.

I would like to thank the Alumni for their generosity of the SST 11' Scholarship. Summer Sea Term allows me to put what I learned in the classroom to use in real life situations. This experience could not be obtained anywhere else, and because of the scholarship I was able to partake. I would like to thank you and the Association from the bottom of my heart for receiving this scholarship and hope that it can continue to help future cadets.

I would like to thank you so much for the scholarship I was provided for this summer�s sea term. Through the generosity of this scholarship I was able to partake in the summer cruise and complete an important component of my education here at Fort Schuyler which without the much needed scholarship I would have unable to do. So once again I thank you so much for your generosity.

Through the generosity of the SST scholarship award I was able to partake in the summer cruise and complete an important component of my education at the college.  I am very grateful for being selected as a scholarship recipient, and appreciate what the FSMAA has done for the students.  Without the help of the FSMAA, I do not think I would be able to participate in the Summer Cruises.

For the past two years, I have been a proud recipient of the SST Scholarship. There are no words that can express how grateful I am for your generosity. You have not only helped me complete a major part of my education, but you have also taken an incredible amount of stress off me and my family. Attending Maritime College is challenging and for me, it takes an extreme amount of effort to succeed. But when I get to the end of the semester and find that the Alumni, who have been in my shoes, recognize my hard work, it really helps boost my mentality to keep trying my best. This letter is a thank you letter to all of the alumni that have made this possible. Thank you so much, for giving me the chance to be able to make on the final cruise of my college time. I am writing to thank the FSMAA for giving me the ability to continue my education at SUNY MARITIME during the summer of 2011 on the Empire State VI and completing a very important aspect of my education. I'm grateful for the scholarship that was awarded to me and wouldn't have been able to attend if I wasn't granted this. It�s such a privilege to have an organization like this available to us cadets at Maritime. I will be Graduating in Jan and look forward to getting into the industry. Thank you again!

I would like to thank you for the opportunity in getting a Summer Sea Term scholarship. It helps a lot and I am very grateful for the generosity you have shown. Maritime is full of tradition and by alumni giving back it helps to keep that tradition strong.

You were very generous with your gift. I had a great experience on cruise. We went to Poland, Ireland, Denmark, Mallorca, and Croatia.

 

 

Thank you for the opportunity to earn this wonderful scholarship for Summer Sea Term 2011. The experience I have found improves with each growing year and I cannot wait to find out where we sail out to next this year.
