T.S. EMPIRE STATE V In Layup
At this time, the TSES V was in the Dead Fleet in the James River in VA. I took
these pictures while hovering in my Mighty H-46D Sea Knight. The other pilot
was my classmate, James Ferguson. The latest edition to the Dead Fleet was
the Patriot State a few weeks ago. We got close enough to see "90" painted on
the stacks on the stern. "SUNY Maritime College" is also still painted
underneath the bridge wings.

T.S. EMPIRE STATE V - Final Resting Place
I was in a scrap yard in Chesapeake VA last week. It was very quiet for a scrap yard day, too quite.
In the distance I heard the faint tune of Scarlet Begonias and sensed the smell of burning hemp.
I looks around and whats dos I sees...
