You may also choose to join a non-license program and complete a Bachelor of Science degree. Naval Architecture students can choose between an intern option, a Third Mate's License, or a Third Assistant Engineer's License. Intern options are required for the Facilities, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering programs. The Intern option consists of one Summer Sea Term aboard the Training Ship and two meaningful work periods in relevant industry environments.
